The Canadian Hamburglar has ordered thousands of dollars worth of McNuggets and poutine on customers’ accounts Canadian “Hamburglar” terrorizes McDonald’s app users with thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges Since January , there have been reports of a mysterious fraudster (or fraudsters) known in the Canadian media as the Quebec Hamburglar, who hacks McDonald’s app accounts and racks up hundreds or even thousands of dollars in charges on unsuspecting customers’ linked credit and debit cards by ordering meals for pick up in the province. The latest victim of this criminal enterprise, CBC News reports , is a Toronto tech writer, Patrick O’Rourke, whose app account was used to order $2,034 ($1,512 USD) worth of McDonald’s menu items in Montreal, including McNuggets, Big Macs, McFlurries, and poutine ( oh, Canada ). 1. I’ve been working on putting together our summer reading list (already! I know!) but in the meantime, have a few leftover from winter . I just started This Is How It Always Is . 2. It will have cones and sundaes and fun candy, and Bryce and his friend Kevin were happy to volunteer as tribute (tasters) last week. They’re so self sacrificing!     These are the bare bones of the ice cream place: We basically painted the brick white, had the bench built in, added pendant lights, and brought in some tables. My husband loves the saying, “if in doubt, throw it out.” It comes in handy when I don’t want to make dinner. “Um, honey, this chicken smells weird.” Panera, here we come. It’s a saying that holds true with just about any food item. If it smells funny, looks funny, or tastes funny, it’s time to toss it. I’m not a fan of waste, so let me show you how I store my baking staples for maximum freshness. I’m a big fan of plastic storage containers in most cases, as you’ll see. Glass is prettier, but I never have to worry about a chipped lid, dropping a heavy jar, or having one slide out of the fridge.     The two items I use most often—unbleached all-purpose flour and granulated sugar—live on my countertop. I store them in airtight glass jars and refill as needed. (This is the only place where I use glass containers.)     Other sugars, once opened, go into a large, airtight plastic container. Technically, sugar shouldn’t spoil, but to be safe, check the expiration date as a guide.

But does the world really need ONE more guacamole recipe? Even if it’s grilled guacamole? Because it’s totally time to grill your guacamole. So the world does. Well, not grill your ACTUAL guacamole. But grill your ingredients before making guacamole. Who’s in? Raise your margarita! Okay! So this is one of my favorite weeks out of the entire year. The celebrations of the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo usually fall on the same weekend and that means ALL the food. And a combination of a bunch of my favorite foods. So the week leading up to these delicious days, it’s time to eat all the pimento cheese, make margs and mint juleps and apparently… grill you guacamole. I’m semi-sad to say that this is a pretty basic guac recipe for me. It doesn’t contain anything wild and crazy like bacon and pineapple . We have avocados, red onion, lots of lime, a little jalapeno.
